Trash The Dress Part I

I was really disappointed with most of the pictures from my wedding, in September 2006. I really thought my photographer was much better than she was. I had heard about something called Trash the Dress, or TTD, pictures. Its where you take pictures in your wedding dress where you could damage it. Most people don't actually trash, or have long term damage, to their dress its just a term. I heard through the grapevine that trashthedress.com was looking for some models to trash their wedding dresses. The pictures would all be free, all you had to do was show up in your wedding dress ready to take pictures. My sister and I jumped at the chance.

We had so much fun that day! I had my hair done (which I didn't love but that's another story) and my sister and I went to get our makeup done at the MAC Store in the Mission Mall. It was fun to get pampered. Plus we both got to try some crazy makeup that we would have never done on our wedding day. It was such a blast to get to chat in the car on our way down to San Diego. Of course we got lost, but that's nothing new. We ended up finding the hotel, but we didn't see any of the other models. We totally thought no one showed up. So here we are searching for a bunch of brides and photographers with our 10lb dresses slung over our arms looking very silly. Finally we saw another bride and some photographers. We dashed into the bathroom and put our dresses on. Ummm, problem I must have gained at least 10lbs after the wedding and my dress was super tight. My sister had to pull, tug and finally ask a stranger in the bathroom to help zip me up. We did find the other models and photographers out at the near by fountains.

It was so cool to have a bunch of photographers asking for you to pose for them. You would be taking pictures with one photographer and a bunch more would swarm and you would have 10 people taking pictures of you. I totally felt like I was being stalked by the paparazzi. At one point my zipper on my dress broke (see pictures of my huge boobs trying to fit into that dress ug!). For about 10-15 minutes I was frantically asking everyone for a safety pin. I must have looked so silly trying to hold my dress together. When my sister remembered that I had buttons on my dress!!! LOL.

I don't love all the pictures, but I'm hyper-critical of myself. It was more that my sister and I had a wonderful time taking the pictures than having the photos later. Also, its not that I would use any since my hubby isn't in any. All the photographers we super nice, too. I would work with any of them again. BTW my sister looked amazing in all of hers.

Goof Lord, those boobs are out of control.

Check out the cool eyelashes. The gal at MAC actually put on two pairs; one on the whole eye and longer ones on the corners.

The Patented BriannaNichole nose squint.

I love the look of the buildings behind me.

Having fun playing with my dress.

LOL I had to add this one because I am really not sure why he took the one with the ugly bag on my arm.

This is one of my fav pictures. I love the juxtaposition of the bride with the bum.

I love yours -- I only got FOUR out of my session in Orange County. That's right, FOUR pictures out of five photographers. :(
