SO I have to admit that I have been cheating on my diet (actually I guess you could call it eating healthy, not a diet). I do feel much better about the food decisions I have been making. Dan and I have been bringing our lunch to work and making dinner at night. Last night we caved and had Del Taco, mmmm chili cheese fries! Of course I had to get the fattiest thing on the menu. We also stopped by the store, for hair gel, and ended up coming home with a huge bag of peanut butter M&M's and Hershey bars.....*blush*. So it was no surprise, when I jumped on the scale this morning, to see that I have not lost any weight. I am ashamed to admit that I haven't been exercising, at all..oops.
This morning I decided to dust off the old Scarsdale Medial Diet folder. I am going to try this and see how it works. The Scarsdale Medial Diet is a pretty rough diet. Its based on two weeks on a low calorie diet (800-1000 cals a day) and two weeks on a keeping trim diet (1000-1200 cals a day). Last time I tried it I only stuck to it for a week, but I lost 7lbs. You are supposed to be able to loose 7-15 lbs in the first two weeks. Since I just want something really quick for my rapidly approaching vacation, I thought I would give this another try.
My whole goal is to be able to enjoy my vacation and not think about how fat and gross I feel in a bathing suit. I would like to make some healthy choices in life, as well. I, also, feel responsible for how my hubby eats because I am the one that makes the food choices in the house and I am the one cooking dinner (when I cook). After this vacation I want to keep up with a healthy eating lifestyle. Even if we cheat now and then.
Wish me luck,
